The Hope Foundation is a public charity with the mission of raising and contributing funds for the treatment and prevention of cancer.
Established in 1993, The Hope Foundation supports the work of the Southwest Oncology Group, one of the largest Cancer Clinical Trials Cooperative Groups, funded in part by the National Cancer Institute.
Some of the most effective clinical trials in the country are supported through the Cooperative Group model, which comprises nearly 67% of all cancer research in the United States. The Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) is the leader in this field, and has been since 1956.
The Hope Foundation supports education and research programs for the 8,600 oncologists, nurse oncologists, statisticians, clinical research associates, and other medical professionals who make up SWOG – people who dedicate their lives to seeking answers and finding cures.
